Back on the horse

I haven't taken a Microsoft exam since 2004, and sat this one today. The Sybex book I used to study was horrible, and I wasted a month.
Enter Transcender/Cramsession - I studied up as best as I could prior to my test today, and got an 824 over my required 700. The case studies seemed to be intentionally misleading at times, but I marked anything I was even slightly unsure on and reviewed/corrected before ending the exam.
hard, but not what I expected

I expected the reading to be the killer, but the case weren't all that wordy. However, I felt that many of the answers were a judgment call and you really need to understand Microsoft best practices!
Rough test, not too technical

The format of this test is tough, not the material. If you pass 70-216, you know WAY more than you need to pass this test. The problem is you have to extract half of each answer from the case study and they purposely hide it in about 3-5 pages of crap. I think this test serves a good purpose in proving you can actually put something together based on given requirements. But I hated taking it! I passed this today with a 760 after studying for 3 days (after spending a few months for 70-216). Just remember to read and reread each case before you answer. THere is always a trick buried in the case study somewhere.
Rock Hard

Failed it today. Rock hard exam. I passed 70-216 as part of accelerated exam and I thought that was hard but this was vicious!
Not all that Bad

Passed this one today with an 830. I really didnt find it all that hard. The hardest part is getting all the info organized from the lengthy case studies. I found i didnt need to know near the amount of detail as with the 70-216, just had to know wear to use what. I found this easier thatn the other design exam i wrote, 70-219.
no sweat
