The International Information System Security - (ISC)2’s exam SSCP, Systems Security Certified Practitioner is the one exam required for the SSCP certification.

The SSCP exam is a mid level exam meant for IT professionals who want to achieve an international standard for practitioners of information security [IS] and understanding of a Common Body of Knowledge (CBK). The other prerequisite for this exam is for the candidate to: “Subscribe to the (ISC)2 Code of Ethics.”

This exam is moderately difficult and costs $369 USD. It may be taken at an (ISC)2 designated site in many large metropolitan locations throughout the world.

The pass score for this form-based multiple choice exam is a scaled score of 700 points or greater.
---There are 125 questions and the exam lasts 3 hours.

The topics covered by this exam come from the CISSP Common Body of Knowledge (CBK) and include:

Tough little brother to CISSP	commoner on Wednesday, October 22, 2003

Do not under estimate this exam; it is tough just like its big brother the CISSP exam. Took Security+ and it is significantly easier in comparison. The SSCP is a good stepping stone to the CISSP. Cheers.
