| Needless to say I had plenty of room to spare (min. pass was 554). The first 10 questions in my exam were very abstract and require you to know the topics covered well enough to make an educated guess on such questions -- and you will get them. That said, if you know the layers, the cabling specs, basic network troubleshooting, and port numbers, you will most likely pass this exam. You only have until July 31, 2009 to take this one though. |

| I thought the test was rather hard. I mean I studied and got a good score (800) but my advice is to take it slow, read the questions carefully, and use as much time as you need. It seemed to me while taking the test that I hardly saw any questions on the test that I actually saw in my studies. I used 3 books, 2 from Sybex and 1 from Thompson. They both had adequate sample test questions. I am glad I studied them both. |

| The exam was mixed very well, direct technical questions, scenario based questions, etc. Do not underestimate the core of the exam though. Studied for several weeks and various test exams. Passed with a 623 (6/27/08), but it made me work for it. Used all 90 mintues and ran out while reviewing "marked" questions. |

| This exam is definitely not easy, and there are some scenario based questions that can throw you for a loop. If you have studied hard and have done lots of practice exams, you should be fine. Also make sure you know what products (bridge, switch) work at which layer in the OSI model.

| What I thought was going to be a breeze of a test turned out to be fairly hard. Fortunately I passed though. Don’t underestimate the test. Study the material well and you’ll pass. |
