SYNOPSIS LPIC2- Linux Intermediate Level
LPI’s exam 202, “Intermediate Level Administration
Part 2” is a core requirement for the LPIC2 (Linux Professional Institute) – Intermediate
Level Administration certification. This mid level exam is designed for fairly
advanced Linux administrators and “covers advanced network
administration skills that are common across all distributions of linux.”
The specific prerequisite for this exam is the
completion of the LPIC Level 1 certification.
This exam costs $100 USD in most locales. “In Japan and in the EU the cost
changes based on the fluctuation of currencies.” The exam is offered in English
and “some time ago we [LPI] created Japanese translations of our exams ... and
we are considering doing a German translation in the near term. If you believe
there is sufficient demand for a translation to a specific language please help
us to identify this need and we will consider it.” The exam may be taken from Pearson Vue or Thomson Prometric.
The
pass score for this form-based multiple choice and fill-in-the-blank exam is 460
out of a range of 200 to 800, but this is subject to change. There are 63
questions and the exam lasts 90 minutes.
