not a good cert

Passed first time, but think the test was way to in depth for what it is. About 65% of the test is stuff you will never use as a Linux/Unix admin. I've been an admin for a few years and had to waste some time learning worthless commands.... and everyone of their flag options. Oh well, just study and know your stuff.

I'm sorry.. I just wrote 102, and I don't know how they can claim to be a standards exam. xinet and pam are not Linux standards, they are distro specific. I should've read the BIOs of the members of the board, since most of them are RHCE and of course, they'll try to put some questions about Redhat operations. SORRY GUYS!!! Redhat isn't the only distro in the market nor workplace.
The question could've had multiple best answers in a number of cases. A lot of questions are sadly dated, and don't reflect the changes in the Linux community.
I had the same question at least 2 times, but with different answers in every instance.
Alot of questions were vague.. Not well thought out.
One some of the fill in answers, could be easily taken as a mistake due to extra wording. (Sorry, can't let which question it was out)
I'm sadly disappointed in this exam and LPI in general.
Great exam.

This exam was one of the best I have taken. The questions were direct and not vague. You really get the feeling that the people who made this exam want to see that you know commands and where to locate/edit config files.

Far superior to Linux+

Harder and more in depth than Linux+. This certification is a true test of one's basic Linux admin skills.
