Microsoft’s exam 70-227, Installing, Configuring,
and Administering Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2000, Enterprise Edition" is an elective requirement for these certifications: MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) on Microsoft Windows 2000; and MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) on Microsoft Windows NT 4.0.
It is designed for candidates who operate in medium
to very large computing environments that use the Microsoft Windows 2000 Server
operating system. Moreover, candidates should have a basic understanding of
DNS, FTP, HTTP, HTTPS, IMAP, POP3, RDP, SMTP, and SSL.
There is no specific prerequisite for this exam, but Microsoft recommends that candidates have a minimum of one year experience implementing and administering network operating systems in the type of environment described.

I had more questions than any other test. 62. Most of the questions were on the first 3 modules in moc 2159a. Know how to install ISa and clients remotely and upgrading from proxy 2.0. Know what will use a server publishing rule or a web publishing rule. ISAserver.org had a lot of good how to articles. I read a lot there to prepare.

The exam is a little complex. You have to study all about policies and all type of clients, including UNIX. There are questions about arrays, three-homed configurations and so on.
Know Proxy 2

Having never used Proxy 2 and doing this exam from hands on experience and a cram session I felt this was a rather hard exam compared to some of the others that I've done. I had a lot of questions relating to upgrading from or implementing along side proxy 2. You need to know the differences between the two and what you need to be aware of before and after an upgrade.
Questions relating to ISA server itself are failry easy if you know ISA as a product on its own.
I had a passing score of 855 from 62 questions. Its nice to see Microsoft have started putting your score back on your exam reports.
ISA 2000 is really difficult

It is a paper that you should not take it likely otherwise prepare to fail. The instructor training course is not sufficient for you to pass this difficult exam.

Questions about Proxy 2.0 upgrade from NT4.0. And Tri-Homed config. The policy questions are a lot of fun ;-(
But after more than 2 hours I got a passing score of just 731 :-)) (did this exam for the first time).
