Microsoft’s MOS exam “Excel 2002 Expert” yields the MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist) Expert on Office XP track certification and is also a core requirement for the MOS Master on Office XP track certification. It is designed for candidates who implement the advanced features of Microsoft Office applications, as well as integrate those applications with other software applications, as a part of their job function. Often, these candidates are called “power users.” There is no prerequisite for this exam.

This exam is moderately difficult and the cost for it varies but is generally around $60 USD. It may be taken from your nearest iQCenter.

MOS exams are performance based and rely on “live” or real Microsoft Office applications. Typically, MOS exams have a time limit of 45 to 60 minutes.

The topics covered by this exam include:

  • Importing and Exporting Data
  • Managing Workbooks
  • Formatting Numbers
  • Working with Ranges
  • Customizing Excel
  • Auditing Worksheets

Untitled Document > Persistent Group Chat: An Approach for More Profitable Team Communications: Unlike email, instant messages (IMs) do not allow group communication; nor do they persist -- you can't hold on to them for as long as you wish. Persistent group chat, however, allows businesses to organize persistent dialogue around business-critical topics, and keep them for easy retrieval later.
