SYNOPSIS
CompTIA’s Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+) certification is for IT professionals who are full or part time technical instructors. The CTT+ cross-industry certification was acquired from the Chauncey Group International in July 2001.
The CTT+ consists of two exams, the TK0-201, which is a conventional format exam, and the TK0-202, which consists of a 20 minute video of the candidate teaching a class.
The CTT+ is a requirement for the Novell CNI technical trainer certification, and is an appropriate counterpart to other vendor-specific training credentials, such as Microsoft’s MCT. There are no prerequisites for the CTT+.
A candidate who possesses the CTT+ demonstrates core competencies which include instructor knowledge and credibility, classroom performance and effective communication and presentation skills. Like other CompTIA offerings, once a person achieves the CTT+, the certification will not expire.
