It is highly recommended that you install the operating system on a SPARC workstation to get acquainted with it. If nothing else, go through the man pages for the commands (and its options and switches) that you see in this Cramsession. Pay special attention to commands dealing with user and group creation and management, printer management and backups and restores.

Use Sun’s website for documentation and “how-to” guides. They are extremely well written and will help you at any stage of your career as a system administrator.
