EXAMS: STUDY TIPS

Relates to: Oracle9i DBA OCP Upgrade
This exam covers a whole grab-bag of miscellaneous
improvements introduced by Oracle9i.
To pass, I’d recommend a combination of studying a good
book, practicing with sample questions, and some hands-on experimentation with
the product.
Certification Books:
Some good books to study for this exam are:
OCP Oracle9i Database: New Features for Administrators Exam
Guide, by Daniel Benjamin, (Oracle Press, 2002), ISBN: 0-07-219530-4.
Oracle9i New Features For Administrators, by Robert
Freeman, (McGraw-Hill/Osborne, 2002), ISBN: 0072223855.
Oracle9i: Database New Features (Release 9.2) by Oracle
Corporation, October 2002, Oracle manual part number A96531-02.
Hands-on:
Preferably you can get this experience at work. If not, you
can get a copy of Oracle with a limited license to install under Windows, Linux,
or Unix from any number of books you’ll see on the shelves at B.
Dalton’s or Barnes and Noble. Oracle is bundled in (for free) as part
the book.
Sample questions:
Self Test Software has excellent exam-specific questions you
can order for less than $99 per exam from
