Sept. 15, 2003 -- CompTIA has updated the exam objectives for the CTT+. According to the CompTIA website..."The CTT+ 2003 objectives have been revised and updated to incorporate the results of a recently completed CompTIA job task analysis. The new knowledge and skill statements reflect the worldwide feedback from a job task survey completed as part of the analysis. The 2003 objectives reflect the goal of all CompTIA certifications, which is to keep our exams up-to-date with current industry practices and standards."

Both the computer-based exam (new exam number: TK0-201) and the video review (new exam number: TKO-202) are still required. The changes took effect last week and with the changes the 2001 exams (TK0-001 and TKO-002) have been retired.

Candidates who have already passed the computer-based exam covering the 2001 objectives (TK0-001) can complete their certification by passing the new video review covering the 2003 objectives (TKO-202) but only until December 31, 2003. Candidates will not be able to use TK0-001 after December 31, 2003.
